On April 2018, Head of Biological Forensics Department of Levan Samkharauli National Forensics Bureau Nino Kochiashvili, was invited to the CODIS (DNA-Database) Conference and ENFSI Expert DNA Working Group in Italy, Rome. 

​LEPL Levan Samkharauli National Forensic Bureau identified 22 more bodies of militaries fighting for the territorial integrity of Georgia and heroically deceased in Abkhazia. The burial ceremony of Georgian militaries shall be conducted on 26 th of April, 2018 at the Brotherhood cemetery.

On March 29-30, 2018 Head of Forensic Chemistry Department of LEPL Levan Samkharauli National Forensic Bureau Paata Tushurashvili, deputy head of the above mentioned department Dodo Chorgolashvili and head of Food, Alcohol and Non-alcohol Beverages Examination Unit Maia Gonashvili and forensic expert from the same division Tamar Aptsiauri participated in the International Conference organized by the German Metrology Institute (PTB) in Tbilisi.

On April 18, 2018, head of the Commodity and Financial Examination Department of LEPL Levan Samkharauli National Forensic Bureau Giorgi Chaduneli hold meeting with the representatives of service for Accounting Reporting and Auditing Supervision of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, National Bank of Georgia and United State Agency for International Development (USAID) project “Governing for Growth” (G4G).
