Representative of the US Department of State visits the Bureau

On May 16, 2016, Head of the LEPL Levan Samkharauli National Forensic Bureau, Giorgi Tvauri welcomed Ms. Cari Enav, Director of Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs’ Office of Europe and Asia (INL/EA) of the US Department of State. 

Within the framework of the visit, Ms. Enav was introduced to the modern equipped labs and novelties established in the Bureau. 
The sides discussed ongoing projects and touched upon the plans of future cooperation.

On 10-13 May, 2016, Head of the LEPL Levan Samkharauli National Forensic Bureau, George Tvauri participated in the ENFSI 27th Annual International Congress in Bilbao, Spain. 

62 Forensic Institutions of 35 states are members of the European Network of Forensic Science Institutes (ENFSI). 
Full-fledged members from across the world participate in ENFSI working meetings.  Matters of the forensic development and modern requirements in the field are discussed at the meetings. LEPL Levan Samkharauli National Forensic Bureau is a full-fledged ENFSI member since 2011. 

Representative of Bureau at the CODIS Meeting

On April 26-29, 2016 Head of the Biology Forensic Department of the LEPL Levan Samkharauli National Forensic Bureau, Nino Kochiashvili participated in CODIS Annual Conference on DNA base and the ENFSI DNA Working Group meeting in Warsaw, Poland. 

The participants will be introduced to the latest technological achievements in the DNA field and equipment produced by various companies within the framework of the Conference.
