Bureau Improvs Services for Persons with Disabilities

The services of LEPL Levan Samkharauli National Forensic Bureau have become even more accessible for people with disabilities. A wheelchair ramp has been installed at the Bureau's head office, and information materials on the Bureau's services, service tariffs, and drug expertise were made available in Braille at all Bureau offices. These measures were implemented within the framework of the Bureau’s 2021 Action Plan for the Protection of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. A wide range of significant measures are planned in this direction in 2022 as well. In particular, ramps will be arranged in several regional offices; audio material will be prepared for the deaf and hard of hearing, up to 30 service-desk employees of the Bureau will also undergo trainings.

Bureau’s Participation in the International Online Conference

Giorgi Murvanidze, Deputy Head of LEPL Levan Samkharauli National Forensic Bureau, participated in the online conference "Current Issues of Forensic Science, Criminology and Criminal Procedure" organized by Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise of Ministry of Justice of Ukraine. At the conference, Giorgi Murvanidze gave a welcome speech and presented information about the activities, innovations and future of the Bureau. Along with Georgia, the conference brought together experts and heads of forensic science institutions from 25 countries of Europe and USA. Participants exchanged their professional experience and visions for the development of forensic science.
