Schoolchildren visited the Bureau

On March 29, 2018, the schoolchildren of Kutasi public school N 40 visited Levan Samkharauli National Forensics Bureau regional department of west Georgia. The tour was organized by the Regional Prosecutors Office of West Georgia, within the framework of the project "Public Prosecutors Office", aiming to get younger generation acquainted with the activities of the organizations involved in investigation. 

The schoolchildren visited psychiatric, narcological, medical, histological, engineering commodity and financial examination units, which are complied with international standards.

Representatives of the Embassy of Japan to Georgia visited the Bureau

On March 20, 2018, the second secretary of the Japanese Embassy in Georgia, Mr. Hiroikuki Tan and Medical Specialist, Diplomat Mr. Fukua visited the LEPL Levan Samharauli National Forensic Bureau.

At the meeting, along with the heads of the medical examination and forensic biology
departments the representatives discussed technical details of genetic and anthropological examinations, taking into account DNA sampling, genotyping, archiving and personal data protection procedures.

Colorful City Ambassador

LEPL - Levan Samkharauli National Forensics Bureau has been granted by Autism Research and Support Foundation with the status of colorful city ambassador for its support to the construction of center for adolescents/adults persons with Autism Spectrum Disorder. 

Staff members of the Bureau participated in the event “I am here” at the end of 2017 and contributed for the development of better future for children with ASD.

Czech Delegation visits the Bureau

​On December 21, 2017, LEPL Levan Samkharauli National Forensic Bureau hosted a delegation from the Czech Republic: Head of the Department of National Bureau for Combating Organized Crime, Milan Lindrack; Head of the Unit for Combating Organized Crime, Vladimer Vanouchek and Office of the same unit, Ian Kosik 

The delegation visited Forensic Chemical-Narcology and Criminology Departments, including the modernly equipped laboratories and got acquainted with the specifics of the Bureau operation, novelties introduced in the bureau and examinations performed in compliance with modern methods.
