Bureaus Experts at Medical Conference

On July 16-18, 2015, Georgias Technical University hosted an International Conference on “Innovative Technologies in Metallurgy and Material Science” . Unit of the Oil Expertise of the Chemical-Narcotics Department of the LEPL Levan Samkharauli National Forensic Bureau participated in the Conference. 

Nino Kobakhidze, Expert of the Bureau and PHD in Chemical Science, presented results of the scientific research - "Disposal of waste rubber tectonic goods (used tires) - through low-temperature pyrolysis and study of obtained products” at the Conference. The presented topic was in line with modern challenges and argued that used tires can be transformed into fuel/oil through eco-friendly methods, which is highly demanded on market.

On 14-16 July, 2015, Zurab Grigolashvili, Expert of the Forensic Medicine and Criminology Unit of the LEPL Levan Samkharauli National Forensic Bureau and Revaz Lomtadze, Head of the Forensic Medicine and Histological Department of the West Georgia Office of the Bureau, participated in the training seminar organized by the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) of the US Embassy to Georgia.

On 14 June, 2015, Head of the LEPL Levan Samkharauli National Forensic Bureau, Giorgi Tvauri awarded with Certificates of Appreciation to up to 20 experts of the Commodity and Financial Examination Department, Forensic Medicine Department, and Kiriak Zavryev Construction Mechanics, Seismic Stability and Engineering Examination Department.  

Head of the Bureau personally met with the experts and conveyed his gratitude for exceptional professional responsibility and civic support during the flood of the River Vere valley.
The Forensic Bureau is up to date actively engaged in the recovery work of the natural disaster.  

Experts of the Bureau participate in the International Congress

On 20-25 June 2015, Congress of International Society on Thrombosis and Hemostasis was held in Toronto, Canada. Experts of the Forensic Biology Department of LEPL Levan Samkharauli National Forensic Bureau Nino Pirtskhelani, Doctor of Medicine, Associated Professor and Ketevan Kartvelishvili, Ph.D. Candidate, participated in the Congress. The Bureau experts presented the results of the Bureau’s research on “Hereditary Thrombophilia – a high risk factor for repeated arbitrary abortions in the population of Georgia” at the Congress. The research co-authors are N. Kochiashvili, Head of the Forensic Biology Department; L. Makhaldiani, Doctor Hematologist and Doctor Angiologists N. Pargalava and M. Bokuchava.
