Delegation of Kazakhstan visits the Bureau

On November 30, 2015, Representatives of the Forensic Expertise Center of the Ministry of Justice of Kazakhstan visited LEPL Levan Samkharauli National Forensic Bureau. 

Head of the Bureau Giorgi Tvauri welcomed the delegation as the sides discussed future cooperation in the direction of forensic expertise. 
The visiting guests had an opportunity of a study tour in modernly equipped labs and got acquainted with the up-to-date methodology and the daily work of the labs. 

Food Laboratory excels in a qualification test

In November 2015, Food and Tobacco Products, Alcoholic and Non-Alcoholic Beverages Examination Unit of the LEPL Levan Samkharauli National Forensic Bureau participated in a qualification test organized by the support of Georgian and Swedish National Food Agencies. 

Line experts of the Bureau examined three different types of food products.  Vials, which contained lyophilized microbial mixture were used for the test material. Experts of the Bureau identified nine different microbiological indicators and defined quantity of bacteria in the sample. 

Students of Medical University had a study tour in the Bureau

On November 24-26, 2015, Georgian and Foreign students of the American Medical Doctor Program of the State Medical University visited LEPL Levan Samkharauli National Forensic Bureau. 

The Students visited modernly equipped DNA Labs and were introduced to the novelties of the Bureau, following which they were trained by expert of the Forensic Biology Department, Nino Pirtskhelani in methods of molecular DNA study. 

November 4 –Bureau Celebrates the Forensics Day

On November 4, 2015 LEPL Levan Samkharauli National Forensics Bureau celebrates the Forensics Day. November 4 is marked annually and has become a tradition within the Bureau. On this Day, the Bureau awards successful experts nominated according to the performed work throughout the year. 

High qualification of its experts and modern standards are the requirements that the experts comply in their daily performance throughout the year. 
More than 500 varieties of examinations, accessible tariffs, modern equipment, qualified staff and what’s most important, compliance with International Standard – these are the key principles rooted in the work of the Bureau
