LEPL Levan Samkharauli National Forensic Bureau is a state expert institution, a legal entity of public law, and its activities are regulated by the relevant resolution of the Government of Georgia, by the regulations approved by it, and by other normative acts.
The services of the Bureau are used by both state and budgetary organizations, as well as private structures, commercial and non-commercial institutions, and other legal or natural persons, both Georgian and foreign citizens.
The Bureau has a fixed fee for expert services, which is approved by the relevant resolution of the Government of Georgia.
The scope of its activities includes up to 600 types of expertise in traditional and non-traditional fields, and more than 500 highly qualified personnel are employed.
In order to constantly monitor the activities of laboratories, the Bureau constantly participates in international inter-laboratory testing, where it occupies the best positions according to the results.
The Bureau is accredited in accordance with the requirements of the ISO17025 standard and its activities are carried out taking into account international practice of expert activities. The accreditations received confirm that the quality system implemented in the Bureau guarantees the accuracy of the expertise results and a high standard of research.
The Bureau is a full member of the European Network of Forensic Science Institutions ENFSI, the most authoritative international organization in the field of expertise.
