Another success of the chemical-toxicology laboratory

Forensic Chemical-Toxicology Unit of the Forensic Chemical-Narcotics Department of the LEPL Levan Samkharauli National Forensics Bureau annually participates in the qualification tests organized by European Network of Forensic Science Institutions (ENFSI) and the the United Nations Organization for Drugs and Crime (UNODC), and consistently maintains its leading position.


In December 2014, forensic experts of the Bureau received four samples provided by the Drugs Working Group of the European Network of Forensic Science Institutions (ENFSI) for annual qualification test. 62 Laboratories of the European countries participated in this test.

Official visit to the United States

On February 8-22, 2015 Delegation of the LEPL Levan Samkharauli National Forensic Bureau headed by Head of the Bureau, Giorgi Tvauri, paid an official visit to the United States of America.


The visit is organized and financed by the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) of the US Embassy. During the visit, the delegation will hold meetings at FBI and GBI laboratories.  

Within the framework of the visit, the representatives of the Bureau will also attend the Annual International Conference of the American Forensics Association in Orlando.


Representatives of the Bureau participate at the Dubai Medical Congress

On January 19-21, 2015, 23rd Congress of the Forensic Medicine of International Academy was held in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates. Head of the LEPL Levan Samkharauli National Forenic Bureau, Giorgi Tvauri, First Deputy Head of the Bureau, Vakhtang Kargareteli,  Head of the Forensic Medicine Department, Nino Kikabidze, Histology expert of the Forensic Medicine Department Nana Kikalishvili and Head of the Forensic Health and Histological Department of West Georgia Office, Revaz Lomtadze participated in the Congress.

 

Solidarity Foundation Award

On January 18, 2015 the Solidarity Foundation passed the Solidarity Award to the National Forensic Bureau.  


LEPL - Levan Samkharauli National Forensics Bureau took the second place among the LEPLs for the monthly contribution to the fund. Up to 270 employees of the Bureau have been engaged in the solidarity since the fund was established and donate 2200 GEL.
