In September 2019, Levan Samkharauli National Forensic Bureau purchased a new Soxhlet device for Food, Tobacco, Alcoholic and Non-Alcohol Beverages Examination Unit. The Soxhlet apparatus is used for extracting fat from a variety of foods.
R 104 S Soxhlet Extractor is a device designed by a leading German company Behr Labor-Technik. The unit enables a parallel analysis of 6 samples which significantly speeds up the process of analysis. After the extraction cycle the system regenerates the solvent, which reduces the cost of reagents in the process of examination and the likelihood of environmental pollution.
Food, Tobacco, Alcoholic and Non-Alcohol Beverages Examination laboratory of Bureau is accredited in accordance with ISO17025. The Bureau constantly equips its laboratories with up-to-date devices, paying close attention to the training of staff so that customers can receive unparallel and high-quality service.
