
Within the framework of the EU-funded ongoing project - CyberEast, Esher George, expert of Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) of Britain, Mairus Cuciurianu, cybercrime expert of Romanian police and Giorgi Jokhadze, cybercrime programme officer and project manager of the CyberEast project, visited LEPL Levan Samkharauli National Forensic Bureau.
Tamar Melashvili, Head of Administration of Bureau, acquainted European experts with the specifics of the Bureau's activities, while Roland Makhmudov, Head of Information Technology and Computer Examination Department, delivered a presentation on IT Department activities.
The delegation members visited the laboratories of the IT Department equipped with most-advanced technologies and got acquainted with the activities of the highly qualified experts of the Bureau.
At the end of the meeting, the representatives of the Bureau and the guests agreed on future cooperation.
The Bureau is a leading forensic institution in the region, which is a full member of the European Network of Forensic Institutions (ENFSI) – one of the most recognized international organization in the field of forensics.
