In November 2018, LEPL Levan Samkharauli National Forensics Bureau examination unit of food, Tobacco, alcohol and non-alcoholic Beverages participated in proficiency testing program. The organizer was an accredited proficiency testing provider PHENOVA. The aim of tests was to determine quantitative content of toxic metals in the sample of drinking water. Analysis was carried out on identification of 10 types of metals.Test results were announced in December, 2018. According to the presented reports, Bureau experts have determined the quantitative content of all 10 metals, hence 100 % excellent results were received.
Thus, examination unit of food, tobacco, alcohol and non-alcoholic Beverages reaffirmed the high accuracy and authenticity of its results and proved, that it has a decent place among the leading laboratories in Europe, which is the verification of the high qualification of Bureau experts, and that the used methods and equipment are in line with international standards.
LEPL Levan Samkharauli National Forensics Bureau examination unit of food, Tobacco, alcohol and non-alcoholic Beverages is accredited according ISO/IEC 17025, which participates in international proficiency tests on annual bases. The results are permanently cross-checked in the leading laboratories of Europe. According to the obtained results, the Bureau always maintains the leading positions.
