In spring of 2017, Department of the Petroleum Forensic Laboratory successfully completed the International Qualification Test certified by the Institute of Interlaboratory Studies (ILS) of the Netherlands and received a Certificate of Excellence. ILS is an independent organization, which conducts interlaboratory studies in various fields (certificate tests, cross checks, joint control) for Analytical Laboratories of more than 100 Member States.
ILS submitted an unknown sample of bitumen. The Bureau conducted its study and the concluded results received highest evaluation. As a result, Department of Petroleum Laboratory of the Bureau was granted a Certificate of Excellence. The success of the attests the compliance of Bureau’s modernized research methods with the international standards, and high qualification of the Bureau experts.
LEPL Levan Samkharauli National Forensic bureau participates in international interlaboratory tests on regular basis and maintains the leading positions in qualifications.
