ImageOn December 15, 2016, Representatives of LEPL Levan Samkharauli National Forensic Bureau, Head of the Forensic Biology Department, Nino Kochiashvili and Head of the Forensic Medicine, Nino Kikabidze, participated in the event organized by International Committee of Red Cross. 
Representatives of agencies participating in Supportive Programme for Families of Missing Persons took part in the summarizing event that was organized at the Hotel Holiday Inn. The participants discussed key matters of the programme, including but not limited to strengthening the family networks of missing people, supporting families in grave moments, awareness raising and others. 
The speakers particularly underscored valued contributions of the experts of the National Forensic Bureau in successful implementation of the programme and identifying the missing people. 
The brochure “Forget me not” was presented at the event. 
National Forensic Bureau has been actively cooperating with International Committee of Red Cross for years and with the Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Accomodation and Refugees of Georgia. Within the framework of the Support Programme to Families of Missing People, the experts of the Bureau have identified more than 68 bodies from Abkhazia since 2013.
