In November 2016, Substances, Material, Products and Plants Examination Unit of the Department of Forensic Chemical-Narcology of the LEPL Levan Samkharauli National Forensics Bureau participated in the SPL proficiency test. Within the framework of the test, experts of Substances, Material, Products and Plants Examination Unit examined Ferro-Silico-Manganese sample defining mass share of Magnesium (Mn), Carbon (c) and Sulphur (S).
21 Labs across the world participated in the test, results of which were statistically evaluated by SPL and published in the final report.
LEPL Levan Samkharauli National Forensics Bureau took the test for the first time, regardless of which, Substances, Material, Products and Plants Examination Unit delivered accurate results with high reliability and took advanced position among leading European Labs.
Substances, Material, Products and Plants Examination Unit of the Department of Forensic Chemical-Narcology of the LEPL Levan Samkharauli National Forensics Bureau is the only accredited LAB in Ferro-Silico-Manganese examination by ISO 17025.
