In July 2016, Unit of Food and Tobacco Products, Alcoholic and Non-Alcoholic Beverages Examination of Forensic Chemical-Narcology department of the LEPL Levan Samkharauli National Forensics Bureau participated in the qualification test organized within the framework of the EU project in cooperation with the Accreditation Center. 12 Labs in total took the test, nine out of which were from Georgia and three from the Slovak Republic. The test assigned defining Physical-chemical substance in an unidentified milk powder.
The Food Unit delivered accurate results and re-confirmed its advanced position among the leading European Labs, which demonstrates the compatibility of high qualified experts, effective methods applied in the Bureau and the compliance of its equipment with international standards.
Unit of Food and Tobacco Products, Alcoholic and Non-Alcoholic Beverages Examination is accredited by ISO 17025, which takes international tests on the annual basis. Results delivered by the Bureau are consistently double-checked in the leading European Labs. By accurate results, the Lab maintains leading position.
