Forensic Chemical-Toxic Unit of the Chemical-Narchology Department participated in the Qualification test organized by the European Directorate for the Quality of Medicines and Healthcare (EDQM). In June of 2016, the National Forensic Bureau received Amoxicillin trihydrate and sodium aminosalicylate dehydrate samples from the Strasbourg working group of standardization department. The Unit was tasked to evaluate the moistness following the methodology requirements and conduct statistical examination of the sample. The same samples were provided to other 115 laboratories across Europe, 110 of which delivered results.
The test report from Strasbourg describes in details the results delivered by laboratories that undertook the test, as well as, applied standard procedures.
The statistical evaluation criteria – Z-score<1 - revealed that the Forensic Chemical-Toxic Unit successfully passed the test and the EDQM, Strasbourg, qualified the delivered result by the first category.
Forensic Chemical-Toxic Unit of the Chemical-Narcology Department of the National Forensic Bureau participates in International Qualification Tests since 2010 (ENFSI,UNODC) and maintains the leading position by delivering accurate results. This year too, the Unit has delivered successfully by excelling in the test conducted across Europe. The Unit is among the leading laboratories of Europe, which testifies high qualification of the experts and international standards of applied methods and equipment.
