LEPL Levan Samkharauli National Forensic Bureau has identified additional 10 bodies of militaries fighting for the territorial integrity of Georgia and heroically deceased in Abkhazia.
The identification process of heroes reburied from Babushera has been launched in 2013 with the support of the International Committee of the Red Cross.
DNA experts of the National Forensic Bureau retrieved biological samples of up to 1500 family members of missing soldiers. 230 genetic portfolios have been processed by financial support of the Forensic Bureau. 31 bodies of militaries have been identified at this stage.
Identification process of soldiers deceased in Gumista and Babushera continues. Levan Samkharauli National Forensic Bureau will be engaged in the process to the end.
