On February 15, 2016, Deputy Head of LEPL Levan Samkharauli National Forensic Bureau, Giorgi Murvanidze met with representatives of Medicine sphere at the Hotel Radisson Blue Iveria and informed the invited guests on novelties introduced in the Bureau. Experts of the Forensic Chemical-Narcotics and Forensic Biology Departments delivered detailed presentations on chemical-microbiological studies conducted in pharmaceutical products, including different types of medications: pills, capsules, powder; gel; liquid, etc); and delivered information on genetic disease founding (Thrombophilia, genetically inherited infertility in men, inherited breast cancer and other studies).
The meeting brought together representatives of the Ministry of Labour Health and Social Affairs, leading Clinics and Pharmaceutical Companies of Tbilisi.
LEPL Levan Samkharauli National Forensic Bureau conducts up to 500 types of examinations, tens of which are annually conducted in Forensic Chemical-Narcotics and Forensic Biology Departments.
The Bureau and the given departments are also accredited by international Standard ISO 17025. The Bureau is the Member of the most prestigious European Network of Forensic Science Institutes.
