In November 2015, Substances, Material, Products and Plants Examination Unit of the LEPL Levan Samkharauli National Forensic Bureau participated in the international qualification test organized under the aegis of the Textile American Association AATCC. Within the framework of the test, experts of the Substances, Material, Products and Plants Examination Unit identified waterproof indicators of two textile material.
25 labs across the world participated in the interlaboratory test. The submitted results were statistically examined by American Textile Association AATCC and the results were revealed in the final report.
It was the first such test for the LEPL Levan Samkharauli National Forensic Bureau and nonetheless, Substances, Material, Products and Plants Examination Unit submitted accurate results. The Bureau re-affirmed the high accuracy, precision and trustfulness of its results. The unit was grouped with leading American and European labs.
Substances, Material, Products and Plants Examination Unit of the LEPL Levan Samkharauli National Forensic Bureau is accredited by ISO 17025 and operates in line with international standards.
