On 21-23 October, 2015 Oil Expertise Unit of the Forensic Chemical-Narcotics Department of the LEPL Levan Samkharauli National Forensic Bureau participated in the International Conference “Modern Materials and Technologies” organized at the Radisson Blue Iveria. Nino Kobaladze, PHD in Chemical Science, Expert presented the research - "Disposal of waste rubber tectonic goods (used tires) - through low-temperature pyrolysis and study of obtained products” at the Conference. The presented topic was in line with modern challenges and argued that used tires can be transformed into fuel/oil through eco-friendly methods, which is highly demanded on market.
Conference marked the 70 years of the founding jubilee of the Ilia Vekua Sukhumi Institute of Physics and Technology (SIPT) and was organized by National Science Academy of Georgia, State Military Scientific-Technical Center Delta and Ilia Vekua Sukhumi Institute of Physics and Technology (SIPT).
The Bureau is actively engaged in similar science conferences, which contributes to raising knowledge and professional capacity of its experts.
