ImageIn April 2015, Food and Tobacco Products, Alcoholic and Non-Alcoholic Beverages Examination Unit of the LEPL Levan Samkharauli National Forensics Bureau – which is accredited by ISO 17025-  participated in the qualification test.

Experts of the Bureau examined three different samples of food products to identify microbiological indicators. The test assigned experts to identify microorganisms in freeze-dried samples of unknown composition and their quantitative analysis.

Experts of the Bureau have successfully identified 9 diverse types of microorganisms in the study samples and conducted their quantitative evaluation. The success of the Bureau is attested in the conclusive results: experts of the Bureau have distinguished themselves by submitting reports without any deviation or false answers.

It was a third level of the qualification test initiated and conducted by the National Food Agency with the support of the Swedish National Food Agency.

Levan Samkharauli National Forensics Bureau participates in international tests on annual basis and maintains its place among top laboratories in Europe.  This further confirms the high accuracy and authenticity of the surveys carried out in the Bureau.
