In May 2015, Food and Tobacco Products, Alcoholic and Non-Alcoholic Beverages Examination Unit of the LEPL Levan Samkharauli National Forensics Bureau participated in a qualification test, organized by the National Institute of Great Britain. LGC is an independent organization that conducts more than 40 types of inter-laboratory tests worldwide.
The Food Unit participated in the inter-laboratory testing of dairy products. Experts were provided an unknown sample of milk powder wherein physical and chemical indicators were identified. Experts yet again delivered accurate results of examination and reaffirmed their high professionalism.
LEPL Levan Samkharauli National Forensics Bureau participates in international tests on annual basis. Results of the bureau are cross-checked at the leading laboratories of Europe, which further confirm the high accuracy and authenticity of the examinations conducted in the Bureau.
The test is planned to be held again in December, wherein the experts of the Bureau will participate in inter-laboratory test using meat and fish samples.
