On April 22, 2015, Director of the US Department of States Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs Office of Europe and Asia (INL/EA), Leslie Wiger visited LEPL Levan Samkharauli National Forensic Bureau for the first time. Head of the National Forensic Bureau, Giorgi Tvauri, introduced the novelties and achievements of the Bureau and thanked the US representative for the significant and invaluable contribution that INL has invested in the development of the Bureau. Within the framework of the meeting, the sides discussed ongoing projects and future of cooperation.
Giorgi Tvauri presented the departments of Forensic Medicine and modernly equipped laboratories. The INL Director got acquainted with the lab operations and introduced ultra-modern methodologies on the ground.
LEPL Levan Samkharauli National Forensic Bureau is a leading Forensic Institution in the region and performs more than 400 types of forensic examinations. The Bureau is accredited by ISO / IEC 17025 in line with international standards. The quality of standards applied in the bureau is a guarantee for preciseness of results and high quality of studies conducted in the Bureau.
