On July 1, 2014, Department of Forensic Medicine of the Bureau hosted Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary Carol Perez and Head of International Narcotics & Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) office at the US Embassy to Georgia, Aaron Fishman. Head of the LEPL Levan Samkharauli National Forensics Bureau, Giorgi Tvauri held a visit with the US delegation and offered a tour around a newly renovated Administrative building and modernly equipped laboratories.
During the meeting, the sides discussed ongoing cooperation between the Bureau and the International Narcotics & Law Enforcement Affairs office at the US Embassy, ongoing issues and upcoming plans.
The cooperation between the Bureau and the INL has been active for years. During this period, number of significant projects have been cooperatively implemented.
Forensic Medicine Laboratory of the bureau is entirely refurbished and equipped with ultra-modern equipment produced in US and Europe, which is a joint project of the Bureau and INL.
Forensic Medicine Department is represented by highly qualified experts who comply with international standards.
