On May 29, 2014, Deputy Head of the LEPL Levan Samkharauli National Forensics Bureau, Giorgi Murvanidze met with representatives of private and public sector at the Hotel Sheraton Metekhi Palace and presented the latest innovations introduced in the Bureau and new offered services. The Bureau performs more than 436 kinds of forensics examinations and serves thousands of customers on a daily basis. Its customers include both physical persons and legal entities. Public institutions are the most frequent customers of the Bureau. In addition to the criminalistics examinations, National Forensics Bureau also conducts many other types of examinations, such as:
1. Commodity and Financial Examination (identifying market values of real-estate and movable property; material damage; accuracy of tax payments; compatibility of accounting and identifying the volume of investment);
2. Engineering Examination (examinations of construction, building materials, geology and geophysical expertise);
3. Chemical-Narcotics Examination (examination of drugs and oil products; hand-made and produced products and material; chemical-toxicological examination; examination of food, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages);
4. Biological Examination (DNA, serologic, cytological, morphological and other examinations of biological profile; paternity identification, DNA analysis, genetic expertise of mutations of inherited diseases, human identification by hair);
5. Forensic Medicine examination (Histological examination, medical forensic examination, examination of living persons and corpses);
6. Criminalistics examination (Video, phonoscopic and habitoscopic examinations; documents: technical and handwriting; transport technical trace evidence; radiation and fire expertise, ballistic, trace and record of fingerprints examination);
7. Information Technology and Computer Examination (extracting information, decoding and restoring)
8. Psychiatric Examination (Forensic Psychiatry, Forensic Psychological and Complex Psychiatric-Psychological Expertise for Criminal and Civil Cases)

The Bureau is equipped with modern equipment and has introduced latest forensic examination methods.
