On March 19, 2014, Head of the Transport Technical-Trace Evidence, Radiation and Fire Examination Unit of the LEPL Levan Samkharauli National Forensics Bureau, Davit Gvelesiani and expert of the same unit Zakaria Tetradze visited Vilnius, Lithuania. On 20-21 March, a Working Group meeting on Auto-Accidents will be held at the Forensics Center of Lithuania.
The meeting is held within the framework of the Monopoly Program initiated and Financed by the European Network of Forensic Science Institutes (ENFSI) and EU.
The Monopoly Program envisages developing common guidelines and procedures in the field of auto-accidents. Experts from Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Romania participate in the program along with Georgian colleagues.
Forensic Transport Technical Unit of the Bureau joined the ENFSI Program in 2012. The project aiming at developing a common guidelines and procedures will be implemented throughout two years. Within this period, joint meetings and information sharing is planned between the participating states.
The project will be summarized after a year in 2015 in Georgia.
Similar meeting of the field is to be held in Georgia for the first time while the country will host high level international Conference.
