Experts of the Forensic Regional Department of West Georgia at LEPL Levan Samkharauli National Forensics Bureau took part in the blood donation campaign with the involvement of the Blood Transfusion City station – Blood Bank. Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, the donation of blood sharply decreased in the country, over the previous year. This is why blood donated by each person will greatly contribute to the accumulation of supplies so as to prevent blood deficit. As part of its social responsibility, the Bureau has been actively involved in the blood donation campaign for many years, which may be an opportunity to save and heal people in need.

In January 2021, the Video, Phonoscopy and Habitoscopy Unit at the Department of Forensic Criminalistics of the Levan Samkharauli National Forensic Bureau purchased a new multimedia forensic software package Amped Authenticate, Amped Five, Amped Dvrconv from a leading European software company, AmpedSoftware. The software enables experts to determine authentication and on digital photos with a single tool. Until now, the Bureau could only detect visible montage areas on images. The software will allow the experts to determine the authenticity of digital images and videos and to detect tamper on images and videos. It allows to improve the quality of images and videos as well. Thanks to the uniqueness of the newly introduced software, it has become possible to support the format of more than a thousand digital recorders.
