​Forensic Bureau Delivers a Training for Advocates

​On 14-18 March, 2016, LEPL Levan Samkharauli Bureau will welcome members of Georgian Bar Association. 

A specialized training course will be delivered to Advocates. The project is being implemented in cooperation with Rule of Law Initiative-American Bar Association (ABA ROLI) and Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) Representation in Georgia. 
Head of the Bureau Giorgi Tvauri, Deputy Chief of Mission Nicholas Berliner of the US Embassy, Local Deputy Director of the Rule of Law Initiative-American Bar Association, Mamuka Mamatsashvili and Member of the Executive Council of the Georgian Bar Association, Irakli Kandashvili opened the course on March 14, 2016. 

​Success in International Test

Chemical-Toxicology Unit of the Forensic Chemical-Narcotic Department of the LEPL Levan Samkharauli National Forensic Bureau participates in international qualification tests organized by European Network of Forensic Science Institutes (ENFSI) and United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) on annual basis; and maintains leading position. 

In January 2016, the Bureau received four samples from the ENFSI Working Group to participate in the annual qualification test. 63 labs across Europe participated in the test. 

Success of the Oil Examination Lab

In February, 2016 Oil Examination Lab of the LEPL Levan Samkharauli National Forensic Bureau has successfully passed international qualification test, attested by the Certificate of Excellence granted by Institute for Interlaboratory Studies (IIS) of Netherlands. 

Institute for Interlaboratory Studies is an independent organization, which conducts different types of interlaboratory studies (qualification tests, cross-checking, joint control) for analytical labs of more than 100 participating states.
