Bureau hosts students

On May 30, 2014, LEPL Levan Samkharauli National Forensics Bureau hosted a group of students in the Forensic Criminology Department. 

Within the framework of the Memorandum of Cooperation signed between the Bureau and the College “Orientiri”, the students spend one day in the laboratories of the Bureau. 
Department of Forensic Criminology offered students a day of practical training. 
Laboratories of the bureau are modernly equipped and its employees comply with high international qualification. 
The Bureau plans to continue its cooperation in line with the Memorandum of Cooperation. 

Meeting with representatives of Private and Public sectors

On May 29, 2014, Deputy Head of the LEPL Levan Samkharauli National Forensics Bureau, Giorgi Murvanidze met with representatives of private and public sector at the Hotel Sheraton Metekhi Palace and presented the latest innovations introduced in the Bureau and new offered services.  The Bureau performs more than 436 kinds of forensics examinations and serves thousands of customers on a daily basis. Its customers include both physical persons and legal entities. Public institutions are the most frequent customers of the Bureau.

Head of the LEPL Levan Samkharauli National Forensics Bureau, Giorgi Tvauri paid a working visit to Bratislava, the Slovak Republic where he will participate in the annual meeting of the European Network of Forensic Science Institutes (ENFSI). Expert of the International Affairs and Quality Management Unit, Ucha Margvelashvili also participates in the meeting. 

The annual business meeting of the European Network of Forensic Science Institutes will focus on the organization’s development and will report on ongoing projects and achieved success. 

Expert examinations in the Chemical-Toxicology Department

Public perceptions of the narcotic drugs varies: some demand legalization of cannabis, while others refer it to crime. LEPL Levan Samkharauli National Forensics Bureau is the only institution in Georgia which conducts a chemical examination of the toxic substances, pharmaceuticals, narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.
